Notifications and reminders

You log a little each day, and Belle turns that into patterns over a few cycles — but only if you remember to open the app. Notifications are how Belle nudges you to keep logging without taking over your phone, and how it tells you what’s coming up in your cycle.

What Belle reminds you about

There are three kinds of notification, and you can turn each one on or off independently.

  • Daily logging reminders. A single nudge at a time you choose to log your symptoms — mood, energy, pain, whatever you’re tracking. This is the one that matters most early on, because Belle needs 2–3 cycles of consistent logs before it can predict anything. Miss days and the patterns take longer to surface.
  • Predicted-window alerts. Once Belle has learned your cycle, it can tell you a few days ahead when your period is likely to start, or when a hard luteal-phase stretch is coming. These won’t appear in your first weeks — there’s nothing to predict yet — and Belle won’t pretend otherwise.
  • Cycle phase updates. Optional, lighter-touch notes about where you are in your current cycle.

Setting your reminder time

Go to Settings → Notifications. Pick the time for your daily reminder — most people set it for the evening, when the day’s symptoms are easy to recall in one pass. You can change it whenever your routine changes.

The daily reminder is built to be quick: 30 seconds, mostly tapping rather than typing. If you’d rather log on your own schedule, switch it off entirely and Belle will stay quiet.

When notifications don’t arrive

If reminders stop showing up, the cause is almost always at the phone level. Check that Belle has notification permission in your device settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t holding them back. Toggling the reminder off and on again in Settings → Notifications re-registers it with your phone.

If you want to understand what those daily logs become, read how Belle gets to know your cycle. If notifications still won’t come through after checking your phone settings, email support@bellehealth.co and tell us your device and OS version.
