Premenstrual conditions study structured with a control group and an intervention group, ensuring all participants equitable treatment.
Munich, March 5th, 2024 – Belle Health, in collaboration with the University of Marburg and Utah State University, is excited to announce a groundbreaking randomized-controlled clinical trial that investigates the efficacy of an app-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) program tailored for premenstrual disorders. The conditions targeted by the digital health intervention include various forms of severe premenstrual symptoms, which can be debilitating and severely impact individuals’ ability to engage in life and work activities. The eight-week trial is set to revolutionize the management of severe premenstrual symptoms, providing participants with innovative tools to significantly improve their quality of life.

Victoria Schoeffel, Co-Founder and CEO of Belle Health, highlights the transformative potential of this initiative:
“Addressing premenstrual conditions effectively requires more than just conventional treatments; it demands innovative solutions and a deep understanding of the conditions. Our CBT program leads the way in transforming how individuals manage complex premenstrual symptoms, empowering them to regain control of their health.”
Study Design: A Comprehensive Approach to Premenstrual Conditions
Structured with a waiting list control group and an intervention group, this trial ensures all participants equitable access to the treatment. The initial phase consists of an online screening and a detailed phone interview to confirm symptom compatibility, followed by a formal diagnosis from a healthcare professional. Participants then interact with the Belle app, completing exercises and questionnaires designed to provide immediate and long-lasting insights into symptom management.
